The Seduction of Sierra Leone was a page turner and full of twist and turns. When I was reading this book I was so amazed at the flow of words and how the author developed the characters. She made the heroine a smart*$$ spunky chick that took nothing off of anyone. That included the sexy protector Brandt. Which the description of him had me running for a cold shower. To add on top of that he is also dominant in the bedroom. OH MY!!! I didn’t think I was going to make it through. It was powerful sex scenes, human trafficking and bullets flying. I was on edge the entire time. Aislinn was by far my favorite character. She has that “I don’t care what you think attitude.” It made me love her all the more. Brandt melted my heart from the first time he was introduced. I like how he made sure Aislinn knew she belonged to him. She fought it tooth and nail but boy did she soak it up. I can only imagine how wet her panties were cause I was panting just reading on my kindle. Charlie was a pretty good character and wish I knew more about him. Especially since he liked Aislinn a lot. In any good book you always have to have a bad guy. So here comes Rick. Absolutely despised that man from the get go. However, his butt munchiness grew on me and things happen to him. I’ don’t want spoilers. LOL What I am about to share is on a tip of the iceberg.
Here are some of my favorite highlights in the book.
“You sure you can take it out in the heat, old man? she asked with a devilish smile.”
“Starting tomorrow, she would ignore him. Ignore him and his muscles and cute butt snd killer smile.”
“There are a few things I do not tolerate. Do not turn away from me when we are having a discussion and do not walk away from me. He was talking through his teeth, his face red. Aislinn didn’t know which attitude to take. She wanted to stay calm, but she felt her true self wanting to come through. Anything else you do not tolerate, oh great one? A smart@$$, he replied, a smile breaking through.”
“Toothless McShitty Smelly grabbed Brandt.”
In the mangroves of Sierra Leone, two strangers raised a world apart find themselves inextricably connected. Seduction in Sierra Leone, the first in a series of three novels, is a fast-paced tale of murder, lust, and love that transports the reader to a foreign and mysterious world of danger. Aislinn Salameh, an American relief worker, is searching for purpose in her self- imposed lonely world. The stranger who enters her village on a blistering hot day seems more animal than human. She knows she should stay far away but can’t stop herself from being drawn to the mysterious man. Brandt Fairlane is haunted by the sins of his past. Detached from others, Brandt has spent his life alone. His line of work is too dangerous for the luxuries of love and family. When Brandt sees Aislinn and her haunting eyes, he knows he must possess her. But when Brandt’s past comes back from the dead and Aislinn is caught in the crossfire, it is up to him to keep her safe. In order to survive, they must learn to rely on one another. As they run for their lives, the heat between them becomes undeniable. Now, Brandt must not only protect Aislinn from a madman committed to stealing her away, but he also must protect her from himself. Because if Brandt steals her body and her heart, he’ll never let her go.
